The Jefferson Council on Aging (JCOA) is tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code. The agency is organized and operated exclusively for exempt purposes and is eligible to receive tax deductible contributions. JCOA is supported by grants from the private sector (individuals, foundations, corporations, and other organizations) and the public sector (federal, state, and local governments). Although the organization enjoys grants from several levels of government, it is not an affiliate of government.

Donors can support JCOA by including the organization in their estate planning or by making a cash donation. Please contact JCOA's Development Team at (504) 888-5880 for more information on how you can support the organization through a bequest in your estate planning.

Cash contributions can be made through this website via a secure site called PayPal.  Donors can restrict their contributions to support specific JCOA programs, services, or activities. If a specific program, service, or activity is not designated, the contribution will be used to support JCOA's general operations.
